This was an inspiring evening at the Bend Tower Theater.  Thank you to the Bend Chamber of Commerce for putting this event on.  The questions posed where very thought provoking.  Should I stay in Bend?  What will our community look like in 30 years?

I really enjoyed the guest speaker John Savo, a principal, lead architect and self-prescribed “urbanist” at NBBJ, an internationally renowned architecture and design firm. Mr. Savo helped redefine Seattle’s South Lake Union District for millennials and Amazon. He works with communities, both large and small, who want to design spaces for the next generation of people who will occupy and love where they live and work.  I was also very impress with local YPN community through our local Chamber of Commerce.  What a thoughtful and smart group of young adults.

I love the ideas of using old retail space and parking lots for housing to create more urban communities.  I mentally have a list of places we should start with!  No sprawl! I’m also interested in learning more about sharing cars.  Do I really need two?

Thank you to the following panel for you thoughtful ideas for the future of Bend.
